Who we are

Base Impact Inc. is a Florida nonprofit corporation, filed with the Florida Division of Corporations and registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. We are completing our founding board of directors, after which we will apply for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Until that status is granted, donations made directly to Base Impact Inc. are not tax-deductible. We operate a free local resource guide for Florida's Space Coast (Brevard, Volusia, Indian River, Orange, and Flagler counties).

We are a navigator, not a provider

Base Impact does not provide medical, mental health, legal, housing, or employment services. We do not operate, manage, own, or endorse any provider listed on this site. We route people to licensed gatekeepers — government agencies, 211, SAMHSA, AHCA, HUD, SSA, and local organizations. A listing is not an endorsement, and listing does not mean we recommend a particular level of care.

No compensation — ever

Base Impact accepts zero compensation for any listing or referral — in any form: money, gifts, services, or anything of value. This includes treatment providers, sober homes, recovery residences, insurance carriers, and government programs. This is required by Florida law (Fla. Stat. § 817.505 — Patient Brokering Act) and is a condition of every listing on this site.

What you are responsible for

• Verify every listing yourself before relying on it — phone numbers, hours, eligibility, and availability change.
• Call ahead. Nothing on this site replaces a direct conversation with the organization.
• Do not use this site to make medical, legal, or housing decisions without consulting a licensed professional.

No warranties

All listings are provided “as is.” We do not warrant that listings are accurate, complete, current, or available. We make no representation about the quality of care, safety, or legitimacy of any provider. In no event will Base Impact, its officers, volunteers, or contributors be liable for any claim arising from your use of this site.

Your data

We do not track, store, or sell your location, search terms, or submission data on help pages. The submission form collects only what you choose to give us, and we use it only to check and improve listings. See our privacy note for details.

Third-party information

Listings on this site describe third-party organizations. We compile them from sources published by those organizations or by government agencies — an official website, a public Facebook page, or a government program page. We are not the author or publisher of that information, we do not control it, and it can change without notice.

Where we record a source and the date we read it, that record exists so we can answer “where did this come from?” It is not a claim that we contacted, visited, or inspected the organization. Our Sources page lists where each listing came from.

Names and trademarks

Organization names, logos, and trademarks mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners. We use them only to identify the organization being described. A listing implies no affiliation, sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement by either party.

Removal requests

If you represent an organization listed here and want it removed, we will remove it — no reason required. Use the removal request form, or email info@baseimpact.org with the subject line “Removal request”. We acknowledge within 2 business days and remove within 5, sooner if you ask urgently. Our decision is not up for negotiation — it is your listing to withdraw.

Limitation of liability

This site and every listing on it are provided free of charge and “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, Base Impact Inc., its directors, officers, volunteers, contributors, and agents are not liable for any damages of any kind arising out of or relating to this site or any organization listed on it — including direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, and any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity.

This applies whether the claim arises in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages. You use this site and contact any organization at your own risk.

We make no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Where a limitation is not permitted, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows.

Indemnification

You agree to hold harmless and indemnify Base Impact Inc. and its directors, officers, volunteers, and contributors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of this site or your violation of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from this site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Brevard County, Florida, and you consent to venue and personal jurisdiction there.

Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The site is built mobile-first, with large touch targets and screen-reader support. If any part of this site is not usable for you, please tell us and we will fix it or get you the information another way.

Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept them.
