Request removal of a listing
If your organization is listed on this site and you want it removed, we will remove it. No reason required. You do not have to explain why. A listing is a courtesy, not something we hold over you.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your request within 2 business days.
- We remove or hide the listing within 5 business days — sooner if you ask urgently.
- We record the request so the listing cannot reappear in a future update.
We may tell you once if we think the listing is useful to the community. You still decide. Your decision is final.
Fastest: email us
Send an email to info@baseimpact.org with the subject line “Removal request”. Include the organization name and, if you can, the page you saw it on. That is all we need.
Or use the form
The same form we use for corrections and suggestions works for removals — just choose “Remove my organization” in the reason field.
Corrections welcome too
If you would rather stay listed but something is wrong — wrong phone number, wrong hours, a service you no longer offer — tell us and we will fix it from your own website. Many organizations prefer this, and it is usually faster than removal.
Why we do this
A directory that will not remove a listing on request is publishing information about someone without their consent. We are a small local nonprofit and we have no interest in doing that. If you want out, you are out.
Questions about how we list?
Our Sources page shows where each listing came from, and our full listing policy is published in the site repository.
